Today
Do you make, buy, or just sorta like comic books? Then you probably already know the comic book industry as we’ve known it is in rough shape. Artists are distanced from readers by the production process, and are dependent on their publishers almost exclusively. Production and distribution costs are increasing, and so are comic shop closures.
Future State
Fortunately, we’re living in a frontier of online communities and virtual reality. With the growing prevalence of VR, it seemed to us like the solution to this downturn was obvious: Cut out the middleman, combine business and pleasure, and give artists and fans a virtual reality to share.

Choose one of the default options, or build a galley of your own, perfectly suited to your work! Explore other artists’ galleries in virtual space by searching their names in the vertical side scroller. You can view an artist’s picture, preview their work, and read their bio. Plus with no physical limitations, you can expand art to any size, view it’s stages and other behind-the-scenes information, and walk, run, or even fly through your virtual display, by yourself or with friends!

In your virtual reading space, pop out selected panels for a closer view or behind-the-scenes info, and see all stages in the artwork process along with video and commentary by the artist.

Have you ever been curious how artists work? What are their studios like? What’s their setup? How do they store their tools? How do they decorate? Using 3D scanning technology, ArtSync invites you into virtual recreations your favorite artists’ studios! Or, generate a virtual studio of your own, populated with your own artwork, exaggerated ‘personality items’ of your choice, and looped animations!
